Amazon ISTA-6 Ships In Own Container (SIOC) – Package Testing
Rocky Mountain Testing Solutions is a member of the Amazon Packaging Support and Supplier Network program (APASS). The APASS program was designed by Amazon to help support vendors, sellers and manufacturers to obtain certification of their products as Frustration Free Packaging (FFP), Ships-in-Own Container (SIOC) or Prep-Free Packaging (PFP).
To comply with APASS, we provide several levels of Amazon package testing for those considering shipping with Amazon.

Number of ASINs or Products by Package Product Test Type
For fragile items, five samples are required for testing procedures. Fragile items are defined as items that easily break or could leak during the distribution process. Items that include the following are considered fragile:
- Glass, ceramic, porcelain, clay
- Liquids, semi-liquids, solids that can become liquid at high temperatures (above 70°F)
For non-fragile items, one sample is required for testing procedures. If the sample is a palletized or unitized load and in its intended configuration of shipment to the end consumer, it is considered a single packaged-product. TV/Monitors are considered non-fragile items.
Testing Type
